Tattapani is Approx 50KMs Away from main Shimla City. This place is seldom visited by tourists except if they are a Shimla Only Visitor. On the way to this place, one can visit places like Naldehra, Mashobra, Sunni and then the road leads to the Karsog Valley. THe place is famous for Hot Water Springs.
I took it upon myself to visit this place owing to the fact that Tattpani is situated on the banks of Satluj River. As I started from Shimla, I was welcomed by a narrow road and that was a bit dangerous to my level of expertise in driving however the scenic beauty of it was something to be wowed about. The experience of driving on the road was as beautiful as was described by one of my close friends. As soon as I passed Mashobra and Naldehra there came a Place Called 18/2. The place is prone to road accidents. Once there was a bus accident in which 18 people died and 2 survived and that is how it got its name. The place also has a temple built for the peace of the deceived souls.
After vanishing from Shimla and Its Sights, I reached Sunni, the place just before Tattapani and I started feeling Satluj running beside me. As I landed up in Tattapani, I went surfing for the hot water Springs. After a bit of guidance from the people available at the place, I reached the hot water springs. The hot water springs are just beside the Satluj River and the place is one of the most sacred places for the people of surrounding areas. Like all of them I also took a dip into the holy waters. One thing I could make of is the place for devotion and donation in the name of Lord Shani Dev.
Tattpani also holds a special fair on Sakranti in Jan every Year.
